Abt AS4. A noble sportsman in a tailor-made suit

The company from Kempten is not only the first tuner worldwide to offer a comprehensive range including engine and aesthetic tuning, but the Abt AS4 Avant also possesses that little extra sporting and dynamic character that represents the highest level of tuning.

"With the AS4, we wanted to conquer Germany and the rest of the world”, announced Hans-Jürgen Abt last spring at the launch of the saloon. Strong words, followed by fantastic customers’ reactions. The Abt tuning-programme for the bestseller from Ingolstadt already enjoys huge popularity, only months after its introduction. The Abt AS4 followed the limousine directly into Abt’s popularity charts.

The Kempten specialists succeeded in further improving the production model. For instance with a dynamic body-kit, which optimises the muscular basic shape of the A4. The Abt AS4 is a noble sportsman in a tailor-made suit, this is the rumour commonly heard.

With all Abt models, suspension set-ups are a matter of the boss. With Christian Abt, managing director and brother of Hans-Jürgen Abt, the company has its own in-house expert. Christian Abt is one of Germany’s best racing drivers. “We offer suspension components for the AS4 that allow the driver to get a better impression of the power”, explained the racing driver.

Power: The AS4 Avant has plenty. To be specific, 213 kW (290 bhp) for the petrol engine and up to 150 kW (204 hp) for the diesel engine cars.

For optimum grip, Christian Abt’s team offers a comprehensive choice of wheels. The highlight: The 9 x 19 inch A27 sports wheel fitted with 235/35 Continental tyres.

Abt Sportsline also tastefully modified the interior with the addition of Abt foot mats.
